Deciphering Vince Gilligan’s hidden message in Better Call Saul’s season three titles
With Better Call Saul season three on the verge of concluding, we wonder if Vince Gilligan has left us another message.
With Better Call Saul’s second season ending with a mysterious message cliffhanger, fans speculated on the note’s author. Many, including myself, came to the conclusion that Breaking Bad fan-favorite Gus Fring was involved. These theories were confirmed in the show’s off-season when a hidden message was uncovered in the season’s titles. Later, Vince Gilligan confirmed that this message was indeed intentional. Additionally, he was surprised at how fast it was uncovered.

Where should we look?
The season two message was pulled from the first letter of each season two episode’s title. When unscrambled, the letters revealed the message “F.R.I.N.G.S. B.A.C.K.” Now, over a year later, we’re wondering if Vince Gilligan has left fans another message hidden within the season three titles. Here are the episode titles: Mabel, Witness, Sunk Costs, Sabrosito, Chicanery, Off Brand, Expenses, Slip, Fall and Lantern.
Though I doubt Vince would leave a message in the same fashion as last year, we can at least double-check. This year’s pool of first letters includes M, W, S, S, C, O, E, S, F and L.
After wracking my brain trying to find a meaningful phrase and putting the letters into an “anagram unscrambler,” I’m left with nothing. The closest I came was the phrase “WM LOSES SFC.” That’s right folks, the Wexler-McGill law firm might be losing the St. Francis College as a client. That’ll definitely have some impact on the plot!

Kidding aside, if there is a message, it’s probably not hidden in the above letters. I encourage anyone reading this to try to locate a hidden message in this season’s titles. If you find anything, let us know, maybe even let us know if you find something funny.
Happy hunting!
