Ratings report: Better Call Saul stands pat ahead of its season finale
The latest episode of Better Call Saul, Fall, maintained the show’s 0.5 live rating that it earned last week.
For the third time this season, a Better Call Saul episode has recorded a 0.5 live rating among the 18-49 demographic. Unfortunately, this number also matches a season low. According to Zap2it, the rating was equivalent to roughly 1.47 million viewers. With just one episode remaining in Better Call Saul’s third season, AMC has yet to pick up the show for a fourth season.
Our latest update on renewal came from Better Call Saul co-creator Peter Gould in an interview with Uproxx last week. We discussed his seemingly confident outlook on renewal in our own article.

For those of you looking for a reason to justify another week of sub par ratings, we’ve got a big one for you. For the second week in a row, Better Call Saul was up against the final game of a pro-sports championship. This week, as Better Call Saul aired, the Golden State Warriors were well on their way to securing their NBA Finals win. Great for them, but more bad luck for Better Call Saul’s ratings.
Fortunately, Better Call Saul’s season finale won’t have any out of the ordinary ratings competitors. Additionally, I’d assume that many fans of the show will treat the finale as appointment viewing. If true, this should also lead to a bump in the ratings. Personally, I’d prognosticate around a 0.9 rating for Monday’s episode, Lantern.

Lantern will air Monday night at 10/9c on AMC and wrap up Better Call Saul’s third season. A season that, while critically acclaimed, can also be considered disappointing in the rating department.
