A sneak peek at Better Call Saul episode 310: Lantern
The sneak peek for Better Call Saul’s third season finale, Lantern, leaves us wanting more.
Prior to this week, our favorite sneak peek of Better Call Saul season three belonged to Off Brand. Now, that honorific belongs to the upcoming season three finale, Lantern. No preview clip has left us wanting to see what happens next more than this one. Watch Nacho introduce Hector Salamanca to his father in the sneak peek scene below!
The scene takes place in a somewhat familiar setting, the Varga family upholstery and body shop. As I’m sure many of you will remember, Hector Salamanca had discussed using Nacho’s father’s business to move product. In fact, this is exactly why Nacho crafted a plan to kill Hector. However, with that plan having failed last week, Hector is here to take over. He’s also very antsy to meet Nacho’s father, though it’s clear Nacho rather that meeting not take place. Hector eventually gets his way and comes face-to-face with a man who clearly has a hatred for him. Hector claims that the two of them are friends, and we’re left wondering where this conversation will go.
Our takeaways
– I wonder what Hector’s angle is here. As I mentioned, he seems very eager to meet Mr. Varga. Earlier this season, Hector said he would “take care of papi,” assuring Nacho that his father would be taken care of. However, now that it’s clear that Mr. Varga has animosity toward him. Will Hector look to intimidate, befriend or something sinister?
– In Fall, Nacho warned his father not to do anything stupid in regards to the Cartel. With the scene cutting out before he has a chance to answer, I fear that he won’t be following his son’s advice. Assuming he does do something stupid, I wonder what punishment Hector will dole out to someone who’s business he depends on.
